Phased retirement
Phased retirement has been a retirement planning option for a number of years. It enables you to gradually take retirement benefits and can give substantial flexibility where you have no immediate need for the maximum tax free lump sum.
But it’s also a very complex area of retirement planning, and is probably only effective for those with substantial pension funds, typically over £250,000.
